Shop owner & artist, Laura first became interested in the art of glass blowing on a school field trip to the Sofa Show in Chicago. While attending the University of Illinois Fine Arts program, Laura learned of a glassblower in Farmer City, IL who offered classes. She began taking lessons with Todd Manicki during her freshman year and continued to develop her knowledge and learn more about the art throughout college. She graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences in May 2009, and opened Starved Rock Hot Glass in her hometown of Ottawa, Illinois on June 5, 2009.

When she's not blowing glass, you can find Laura hanging out with her family, hiking at Starved Rock, or relaxing with her pugs.
